Shut ‘er down Mort, she’s suckin’ mud
Sucking mud is a dangerous thing. It originated with the old steamboats that ran up and down the river. The engine boilers consumed water, and some of them had an intake on the bottom of the boat. When the boat got into shallow water it was at risk of sucking in mud..and causing an explosion in the boiler.
From this standpoint, Knox County Government is in peril of sucking mud. And the citizens who voted to limit office holder’s time in the chair, could have office holders for the next year or so picked by fewer than twenty people.
The only thing I can add to the fray is that I have heard rumblings from some people that commissioner Dianne Jordan could file a lawsuit in connection with the mess. She didn’t have time to get it written on Friday- the decision came at three. Holiday today in the courts, both federal and state…so Wednesday morning might bring the first salvo.
This is not news, folks. It is rumor, just what I have heard while trying to collect real news.
Keep an eye on that boiler, Mort.
i agree with you!
